Twice Raises $18.5M

TwiceTwice, a San Francisco, CA-based online clothing resale store, raised $18.5m in funding.

The round, which brought the total amount raised by the company to over $22m, was led by Andreessen Horowitz (Jeff Jordan) with participation from existing investors IA Ventures, Lerer Ventures, WTI, Felicis Ventures, and some angels.

The company intends to use the funds to hire new people and expand operations.

Founded in January 2012 by Noah Ready-Campbell (CEO) and Calvin Young (CTO), Twice operates a concierge-style online marketplace for secondhand fashion. It allows sellers to send in their clothing, Twice buys it upfront, professionally photographs the garments, lists them for sale, with trustworthy garment descriptions, same-day shipping, free returns, and speedy customer service.
