Debut Raises £1.7m in Seed Funding

debutDebut, a London, UK-based provider of a student recruitment app, raised £1.7m in seed funding.

Backers included LocalGlobe, Initial Capital, Entree Capital, and Paul Forster, former CEO and co-founder of Indeed.

The company, which has raised £2.2m in total funding, intends to use the funds to continue to develop the product, expand the team and grow both its user and client base.

Led by founder & CEO Charlie Taylor, Debut a iOS and Android careers app that connects employers and students via exclusive internship and graduate job opportunities. Debut is completely free for students, who can be reached by employers via “Talent Spot”. An employer can contact users who meet their hiring criteria with opportunities such as invitations to private campus events, webinars, invitations to apply or fast tracks to interviews or assessment centres.
The app also invites users to play exclusive employer games and win prizes.
