Tecalum Industrial, a Tortellà (Girona) Spain-based company that specializes in the manufacture of products of aluminum for the industrial sector, raised €4.3m in funding.
Backers included Caixa Innvierte Industria, the fund managed by Caixa Capital Risc with participation from the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) under the INNVIERTE Program, and the Institut Català de Finances.
The company intends to use the funds to use the funds to build a production facility in Quebec (Canada) and enter the American market.
Founded in 1989 by a group of engineers, and led by Felix Jorba, Tecalum specializes in aluminum production and processing all types of parts and components multiple industry sectors. Customers include Alstom, Talgo, Treves y Antolín, Saheco, Resol, Ensto, etc.
The company employs approx. 100 people with a turnover of €13m in 2014.
