NetBrain Technologies, a Burlington, Massachusetts-based provider of software used by network engineers to map, analyze and troubleshoot enterprise and service provider networks, received a minority investment from Summit Partners.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed. In conjunction with the investment, Tom Jennings, a Managing Director with Summit Partners, is joining NetBrain’s Board of Directors.
The company will use the funding for market penetration, continued product innovation and other business development activities.
Founded in 2004 by Lingping Gao, CEO, NetBrain products empower network professionals with real-time data visualization, automated network documentation and computer-aided troubleshooting capabilities. Compatible with a wide range of network devices, the company’s software offers tools to visualize performance and conduct activities such as developing accurate network diagrams, tracking network changes and visually troubleshooting any network issue.
It is used by hundreds of enterprises – including many Fortune 500 companies as well as governmental and not-for-profit institutions.
NetBrain also has offices in New York, New York, Sacramento, California and Beijing, China.
