RootsRated Media, an Atlanta, GA-based content marketing platform for SMB direct to consumer marketers, raised $6.5M in Series A funding.
The round was led by TechOperators, which will invest $3.5m, with additional funds coming from Fidelis Capital, Alerion Ventures, and other investors. In conjunction with the funding, TechOperators General Partner Dave Gould will join RootsRated Media’s Board of Directors.
The financing will be used to expand the company’s sales and marketing efforts, as well as accelerate product development and expansion into new verticals.
Led by Fynn Glover, Founder/CEO, RootsRated Media offers a content marketing platform and supporting services that allow lean marketing teams to source, distribute, and measure content to drive customer awareness, acquisition, and retention.
The company has focused operations in two initial verticals: the outdoor apparel vertical, and the destination marketing vertical. Clients include, among others, Osprey Packs, Rentskis.com, Utah Office of Tourism, and Atlanta CVB.
