Photobucket Acquires Milyoni

photobucketPhotobucket Corp., a Denver, Colorado-based online photo sharing and print community, has acquired Milyoni, a Pleasanton, California-based provider of social videos and maker of Madcards.

No financial terms were disclosed. Along with the acquisition, Milyoni CEO John Corpus joined Photobucket as chief revenue officer.

Founded in 2009, Milyoni provides social and mobile software for the media and entertainment industry. Products include Social Video, Video on Demand, and more recently Madcards. Madcards converts digital content, including video and photos into actionable cards for engaging mobile consumption, collection and sharing.
Backers include Oak Investment Partners, ATA Ventures and Thomvest Ventures.

Led by Tom Munro, CEO, Photobucket serves over 120 billion photos and videos to over 3 million websites every month. It now plans to integrate the Milyoni social platform and combine with Photobucket’s reach across the Internet, enhancing the user experience on mobile.
