Swiftype, a San Francisco, CA-based SaaS startup that delivers advanced search, raised $13m in a Series B round of funding.
The round was led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA). As part of the financing, NEA Partner Chetan Puttagunta will join Swiftype’s board.
The company, which has now raised more than $20m, intends to use the funds to expand sales and marketing efforts while accelerating engineering hiring.
Founded in January of 2012 by Matt Riley and Quin Hoxie, Swiftype provides a hosted search solution that lets site mobile and SaaS app owners deliver customizable search with a few lines of code, control their search experience and gather analytics about user search behavior.
Today, the company counts customers across a diverse range of industries from major corporations to technology startups.
