Sanlorenzo SpA, an Ameglia (La Spezia), Italy-based manufacturer of luxury motor yachts, has received a €15m equity investment from Fondo Italiano di Investimento (FII) .
With the transaction, FII acquired a minority stake in the company.
Sanlorenzo intends to use the proceeds to grow organically, expanding its existing facilities, and through acquistions of already targeted brands.
Established over 50 uears ago and acquired by Massimo Perotti in 2005, the company has been a leader in building glass-reinforced plastic and metal yachts.
It currently employs 200 people and generates a turnover of €196m.
