Databutton Raises $5.1M in Seed Funding

Databutton

Databutton, an Oslo, Norway-based provider of an online app builder for innovators and entrepreneurs, raised $5.1M in Seed funding.

The round was led by Skyfall Ventures and Maki.vc.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the development of its AI-assisted Databutler with a view to leaving beta and going live later this year.

Founded by Trygve Karper, Martin Røed, and Viral Shah, Databutton provides a platform with AI-assisted tools to build AI apps that can help businesses work smarter and make better decisions. Users can chat with Databutler, discuss and build code together, problems, ask advice and get inspiration. They can connect to online models and frameworks – includes Open AI’s GPT-4, Streamlit (the open-source app framework used to build and share apps), Langchain’s language model app framework, and more.

Early use cases include chatbots that help people with diabetes, and sleep apnea get help; an AI assistant that recommends products on a gardening site’s webshop; a real-time trading app; an app that automates marketing blog posts, plus many more
