K Line Europe, a Düsseldorf-Benrath, Germany-based orthodontics-at-home maker, raised €5.3m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Maki.vc.
The company intends to use the funds to expand across Europe, as well as enter the other global markets, including Asian, Middle Eastern, and North American ones.
Led by CEO Sherif Kandil, K Line Europe provides a remote orthodontics monitoring platform which features a monitoring device connected to a smartphone. This allow patients to check their teeth straightening process and perform their own aligner correction without visiting the practice.
The company’s products include:
- K Clear, which provides patients with 3D treatment plans and automated, precise production of aligners
- ClearX, an innovative product that uses 4D technology to reduce plastic production
- K SCAN, which makes scanning fast for dentists and assistants ensuring optimal comfort and reduced chair time for patients
