Venue, a fully remote video-conferencing company, raised USD4M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Accel, with participation from (Stewart Butterfield), SquareSpace (Anthony Casalena), Remote.com (Job van der Voort) and several others.
The company intends to use the funds to scale operations and its business reach, as well as to continue to develop the product.
Venue is a fully remote video-conferencing company that allows companies to turn their meetings into interactive livestreams to help engage remote-first teams.
The platform has incorporated parts of popular social media platforms, with a UI featuring emoji reactions, background music, shoutouts, livestream video bubbles, and chat tools.
