TOP the organic project (TOP), a Boston, MA-based women-owned, organic period product startup, extended their seed round to raise $2m.

The round was led by Massachusetts-based Mass Mutual through the MM Catalyst Fund, The Impact Seat, Maine Angels and Dirigo Angel Fund.

The company intends to use the funds to expand their presence in nationwide retailers, bolster marketing initiatives and grow their team.

Co-founded by Denielle Finkelstein, president (left), and Thyme Sullivan, CEO (right), TOP the organic project is a women-owned period product company that offers 100% organic cotton, plant-based, hypoallergenic tampons and pads. All tampons and pads feature 100% certified organic cotton free from synthetics, toxins, pesticides, dyes and fragrances.
