CareRev, a Venice, Calif.-based labor marketplace platform that connects hospitals and health systems with local healthcare professionals on demand, closed a $50m Series A financing.
The round was led by Transformation Capital with participation from Industry Ventures and Zach Coelius, Michael Siebel, Gaingels and others.
The company intends to use the funds to invest in scaling their product and operations, including incorporating more AI and machine learning.
Led by Will Patterson, founder and CEO, CareRev offers a cloud-based platform in which hospitals and other healthcare facilities post shifts when they need clinical support, and local, vetted healthcare professionals claim the shifts through their mobile app — eliminating the need for a traditional agency.
Founded in 2015, CareRev now serves over 30 hospitals and health systems, 500 outpatient centers, and 11,000 healthcare professionals nationwide.
