Nylas Secures $16M in Series B Funding

nylasNylas, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a unified communications API for integrating software with email, calendars, and contacts, secured $16m in Series B funding.

The round was led by Spark Capital with participation from Slack Ventures, Industry Ventures, and ScaleUp, joining existing investors 8VC, Great Oaks Capital, Rubicon Venture Capital and John Chambers’ personal fund. In conjunction with the funding, Andrew Parker, General Partner at Spark Capital, will join Nylas’ board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to hire new people, acquire new customers every day, and build the product.

Led by Gleb Polyakov, CEO, Christine Spang, CTO, Nylas provides an API for developers to build integrations between software applications and email, calendar, and contacts. The API powers Fortune 500 and SMB applications alike, providing a single point of integration that connects applications with email service providers including Gmail, IMAP, Exchange, Outlook, etc.
Customers include Newscorp, Dialpad, Salesloft, Pipedrive, Hyundai, and Ellie Mae.
