Baby Food Startup Yamo Raises Low Seven-Digit Funding Round

yamo, a Swiss startup that uses technology to produce fresh and natural organic baby food, raised a low seven-digit funding round.

The round was led by Ringier Digital Ventures with participation from Btov Partners, Altinvestor, Myke Näf, and other business angels.

The company will use the funds to continue to strengthen its brand presence in Germany and Austria and bring solid food and snacks to the market.

Founded by Tobias Gunzenhauser, José Amado-Blanco and Luca Michas in 2017, yamo is a vertically integrated baby food brand which controls all steps in the value chain, from recipe and production to online sales. To preserve all natural vitamins, the taste and original colours, yamo leverages innovative high-pressure preservation (HPP) technology for the production of its organic baby food.
The company’s products are available in large retailers.
