Think +, a Palo Alto, CA-based early stage venture capital firm, held the first closing of its maiden fund in October 2017.
Per an SEC filing published earlier in September 2017, Think Ventures, L.P., has a final target of $20m.
Led by Managing Director Safa Rashtchy, who has been an investor in Silicon Valley for more than a decade, with over 30 investments, including seven exits – all to public companies, an advisor to many companies and a board member of various startups as well as non-profit organizations, Think + focuses on large pain points especially in digital health and consumer assistance platforms.
Rashtchy told me that they look for transformative solutions, targeting $1b plus markets by leveraging internal research to identify markets better and help entrepreneurs chart their course.
The firm has already invested in several companies such as Adrise, Payjoy, Signfyed, Thinair, Opengov, AngelList, Snapwire, Basehealth, Medrio, Levyx, Spry, Qventus, Applyboard, and Uber.
Beyond Rashtchy, the team also includes Paul Arora, Research Analyst, and Eric Chen, Venture Advisor.
