Boomf Raises £700 in Funding

boomfBoomf, a London, UK-based producer of personalized marshmallows, raised £700 in funding.

Backers included business angels including Andy Phillips (founder of ActiveHotels and chairman at YPlan) and Jo Staveley (formerly managing director at Cath Kidston and L.K.Bennett), Boomf’s chairman Nick Jenkins, Duncan Jennings (founder of VoucherCodes) and David Frank (founder of RDF Media and TRX).

The deal valued the company at £10m.

The new funds will enable Boomf to expand its product range.

Established two years ago by Andy Bell and James Middleton, Boomf offers photos on marshmallows and Buntella, a personalized bunting made from 100% cotton and stitched together with yacht-grade bias tape. The company has sold more than 1.4m personalized marshmallows, all produced in the UK.
