Infosys (NYSE: INFY), a global leader in consulting, technology, outsourcing and next generation services, is to acquire Noah Consulting, LLC, a Houston, Texas-based provider of advanced information management consulting services for the oil and gas industry, for US$70m.
The transaction is expected to close before the end of the third quarter of FY 2016, subject to customary closing conditions.
Led by John Ruddy, President, Noah Consulting provides upstream oil and gas companies, including super majors, independents and oil field service companies with a platform to plan, architect and deploy information solutions to surface the value of their oil and gas assets.
The acquisition adds Noah’s industry knowledge, information strategy planning, data governance and architecture capabilities to Infosys’ ability to provide technology and outsourcing services on a global scale to oil and gas clients.
