Waterline Data Raises $14.5M Funding

waterline dataWaterline Data, a Mountain View, CA-based provider of data cataloging solutions and applications, raised $14.5m in Series C funding.

The round, which brings total capital raised to date to $37.5m, was led by Menlo Ventures with participation from Jackson Square Ventures, Partech Ventures and Infosys. In addition to the funding, tech veteran Robert Youngjohns joined Waterline’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate product innovation, global expansion and go-to-market strategies.

Founded in 2013 and led by Kailash Ambwani, CEO, and newly added Ed Peek, SVP of Worldwide Sales, Waterline Data provides solutions to automate the discovery, classification and governance of data at petabyte scale without compromising security.
The company’s solutions are in use by some of the largest financial, food & beverage, tech, healthcare, pharmaceutical and manufacturing companies in the Fortune 100 and Global Fortune 500.

The list include Nordea, GSK, Fannie Mae, etc.
