Pixlee, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a content marketing platform, raised $4m in financing.
The round was led by David Jones, with participation from GS Shop and Brian Weiner.
The company, which has raised a total of $5.7 million in financing to-date, intends to use the funds to increase headcount in sales and product development.
Founded in 2012, Pixlee provides a visual marketing platform that curates real time content, manages permission rights and integrates the content directly into multi-channel browsing and shopping experiences. E.g., it allows fashion brands to integrate images of real people wearing its apparel curated from social media sites directly onto their websites.
The company works with more than 150 brands, such as Kenneth Cole, The Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant Group, Charlotte Russe and Mattel.
