Help Scout, a Boston, MA-based email support software startup, raised $6 million in Series A funding.
The round was led by Foundry Group with participation from CommonAngels Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds for product and content development and investment in new marketing channels.
Led by Nick Francis, Help Scout provides an email support software that acts as a help desk for small and midsize businesses and featuring reporting tools, an integrated knowledge base, 50+ integrations and an API.
The company has 3,000 customers in 60+ countries, including KissMetrics, Buffer, GrubHub, and AngelList.
