Fitt, a San Francisco, CA-based new social fitness app, raised $300K in seed funding.
Backers included Crosslink Capital and 500 Startups.
The company intends to use the funds to further develop the platform’s capabilities and expand compatibility with additional devices and apps.
Led by Carnet Williams, CEO and co-founder, Fitt has just launched the Fitt app, a tool for people with wearable devices and fitness apps to create and compete in group challenges. Fitt connects people to friends, whether they are using a Jawbone UP, Fitbit or activity tracker apps such as Moves. Paired with users’ activity trackers, the app allows friends to create and compete in challenges that keep both motivation and movement high.
