Virtustream Closes $40M Series D Financing

Virtustream, Inc., a Bethesda, MD-basedĀ enterprise class cloud solutions provider, closed a $40m Series D financing.

The round was led by SAP (NYSE: SAP), which is both a strategic partner and a customer of Virtustream.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to grow and further accelerate the development of its xStream cloud management software for both the enterprise and its global service provider network.

Led by Rodney Rogers, Chairman and CEO, Virtustream offers enterprise class cloud solutions to enterprises, governments and service providers to move complex production applications to private, public or hybrid clouds. The company offers xStreamā„¢, cloud management software for private/public/hybrid clouds and the Virtustream Cloud, which provides secure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) to enterprises.
It owns data centers in the U.S. and EMEA, and has offices in Washington DC, San Francisco, Atlanta, London, and Dubai.
