Affaredelgiorno.it Raises €1.1M in Funding

Affaredelgiorno.it, a Lamezia Terme, Italy-based online aggregator of grocery discounts and coupons, raised €1.1m in venture funding.

DPixel’s Gianluca Dettori published the news in his blog here.

Backers included Principia SGR and Digital Investments, which is advised by dpixel. In addition to the funding, Sandro Castaldo, Professor at Università Bocconi, and an expert of retail marketing, will join the company’s board of directors.

The site, which is currently in closed beta, will launch in September 2013.

Co-founded by CEO Antonio Folino and Alessandro Falvo, Affaredelgiorno offers a platform to save money by using coupons available on the site. A backend dashboard provides brands with tools to offer coupons, and real-time analytics to monitor and retarget their campaigns.
