Panzura, a Campbell, CA-based provider of global cloud storage solutions, closed a $25m Series D funding.
The round was led by Meritech Capital Partners with participation from existing investors Matrix Partners, Khosla Ventures, Opus Capital and Chevron Technology Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Meritech Capital Partners managing director Paul Madera joined Panzura’s board of directors.
The company intends to use the funds to increase its international sales presence into the Asia-Pacific region, continue to scale its US-based and EMEA-based marketing, sales and engineering operations, expand its channel ecosystem and explore joint development projects with strategic partners, while conducting internal R&D.
Led by Randy Chou, CEO and co-founder, Panzura offers a cloud-integrated storage system that delivers an enterprise-class solution, with network attached storage (NAS) functionality, native cloud support, a globally distributed file system, built-in FIPS 140-2 certified security and data protection.
Customers include companies in key verticals such as finance, media, entertainment, and government.
