InternMatch Raises $4M in Series A Funding

InternMatch, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a platform for companies to find and hire students, raised a $4m Series A round of funding.

The round was led by Artis Ventures and Subtraction Capital, with participation from previous investors 500 Startups, Kapor Capital, Rudy Gadre, etc.

The company intends to use the capital to expand the team (read here), continue to build the marketplace, and develop data-powered technology.

Founded in 2009 by CEO Andrew Maguire and Nathan Parcells, InternMatch provides employers with an online platform to hire talented students. They can use Campus Hubs to show off company culture, attract the right interns, and promote diversity. Students can use resume creation tools and tailored searches to find the right internship or job.

Companies using InternMatch include Yahoo!, NetApp, Facebook, Nestle Purina, and Viacom, among others.

In addition to the funding, the company is adding Paul Willard, the CMO of Atlassian, as a board member.
