Naya Ventures Holds First Close of $50M VC Fund

Naya Ventures, a Dallas-based venture capital firm, has held the first closing for its $50m (approximately 250 Crore Rupees) fund.

With offices in Silicon Valley, Seattle and Hyderabad, India, Naya provides both capital and expertise to early stage companies in the mobile and cloud markets

Founded in 2011, the firm is led by Dayakar Puskoor, Prabakar Reddy, and Gowri Shankar. Naya’s portfolio includes:
– BoxFish (formerly Mixaroo), a TV controller,
– Zoomingo, a shopping app platform that lets consumers find deals in their local stores or online from their smartphone or home computer; and
– Glympse, a mobile service that allows GPS-enabled mobile devices to share their location via a web app for a pre-set amount of time.

Additional companies are currently in the pipeline or under evaluation.
