YouScribe Raises €2M in Funding

YouScribe, a French provider of a digital document publishing, sharing and selling platform, has raised €2m in funding.

Backers include Iris Capital and private investors Philippe Oddo and Bruno Emsens, and existing investors TDH (Thierry Dassault), Habert Dassault Finances (Benoit Habert), the Gilberte Beaux family and Clarisse (Henri & François de Maublanc).

The company intends to use the capital to grow, in particular abroad, and build up a catalogue of over several dozens of millions of documents by 2016.

Founded in January 2011 by Juan Pirlot de Corbion, YouScribe is the community platform for written digital documents of all kinds with a catalogue of nearly 2 million documents in French, German and Spanish. It helps all written content holders raise their web profile based on features designed to make it possible for their documents to be read, commented on, shared and acquired by as many people as possible.
The company has developed tailor-made solutions for the press and publishing business, as well as for individuals, professionals and independent authors.
