Redwood City, CA-based online workplace oDesk has received $15m in Series D funding.
The round was led by T. Rowe Price Associates, with participation from Benchmark Capital, Globespan Capital Partners and Sigma Partners.
In addition to the funding, Gregory Stanger, former CFO of both Expedia and Chegg, has joined oDesk as Chief Financial Officer.
Founded in 2007 and led by CEO Gary Swart and CFO Nilesh Lakhani, oDesk is an online workplace that enables businesses to hire, manage and pay a flexible workforce of contractors without geographic limits.
