VidSys, a Vienna, VA-based provider of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software, has received a an equity investment of undisclosed amount.
Backers include Cisco and existing investors Atlanta Equity, Flybridge Capital Partners, JVax Investment Group, and Motorola Solutions.
The company intends to use the funds for research and development to develop further solutions.
Led by CEO Chuck Teubner and founder and CTO James Chong, VidSys provides Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software designed to help organizations reduce operational costs and increase safety, security, and asset protection in real time.
Its Open PSIM Platform™ and multi-vendor video and situation management software, VidShield™ and RiskShield™ respectively, are used in command centers including three of the top four cities in North America and a number of Fortune 100 global companies.
The company operates additional offices in Massachusetts, the United Kingdom and the Middle East.
