Everloop Raises $3.1M in Seed Funding

Everloop, a Danville, CA-based startup that operates a protected online social platform for kids under 13, has raised $3.1m in seed funding.

Investors include vFormation, Band of Angels, Envoi Ventures, Richard Chino, Wayne Goodrich, Deena Burnett-Bailey of Angels of Hope and other backers.

Led by CEO and co-founder Hilary DeCesare, Everloop lets kids connect, communicate and collaborate in a protected environment with their friends and others who share their interests. It also provides creative applications, music, social games, videos, photos, animation, user-generated content and other integrated online experiences.

The site also features online privacy protection technologies that block kids from using bad language, bullying or sharing personal information and is COPPA complaint (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.).

In conjunction with the funding, the company hired Sandy Barger as chief marketing officer, Tobin Trevarthen as executive vice president of business development and Alan Goodman as creative advisor.
