Resysta International GmbH, a Germany-based innovative and environmentally-friendly manufacturer of a wood substitute, has secured a “high seven-digit euro” investment from clean technology private equity firm WHEB Partners.
WHEB has supported the company’s management in the buyout from Münchener Boulevard Möbel Joseph Duna GmbH, which, under the name Resysta – THE BETTER WOOD, has already marketed a range of furniture and decking.
The spin-off of the company and the investment will support the international expansion of the business.
Resysta currently provides domestic and foreign hotels and spas with decking for outdoor use, its main product line. It also supplies a comprehensive range of cladding panels and cladding elements and is developing a Maritime Division for replacement of traditional teak decks on high-quality yachts.
The company is led by Bernd Duna, managing director and co-inventor of the material, which is currently being produced in Indonesia, Vietnam and Germany.
