Comecer SpA, a Castel Bolognese (RA), Italy-based Nuclear Medicine company, received a €7.5m equity investment from Fondo Italiano d’Investimento.
Following the investment, Fondo Italiano d’Investimento will acquire a minority stake in the company, which will use the proceeds to expand domestically and internationally in related markets.
Comecer designs and realizes laboratories dedicated to handling radioactive substances, Isolation Technologies with applications in Pharmaceutical, Nuclear (medicine & research), Electronics, Food and Beverage industries. Its products are currently commercialized in more than 100 countries. Clients include universities (Yale, Stanford and Federico II), hospital centres and international pharmaceutical companies.
Led by CEO Alessia Zanelli, the company currently employs 180 people and has a turnover of €32m.
