Global early stage venture capital 500 Startups recently announced that Aman Verjee joined as COO and the firm’s management team.
As COO, he will help the firm prepare for future growth and scale, as it continues to raise capital for its global funds and regional & vertical microfunds, and also monitor portfolio companies as they grow.
Verjee has over fifteen years of operating experience in both public and private technology companies including PayPal, eBay, Sonos, Collective, and CAN Capital helping them raise nearly a billion dollars from top venture capital and private equity firms such as Accel, Greycroft, and KKR, and banks such as Morgan Stanley, SunTrust, Wells Fargo, UBS, JPMorgan and Barclays.
For the past two years, he was CFO at CAN Capital, an SME lending platform. Before that, Verjee was the CFO of Collective, Inc., a New York-based adtech company.
Before, he spent nine years at PayPal and eBay doing financial planning and analysis, customer analytics and strategy.
Earlier in his career, Verjee also held positions at Lehman and McKinsey.
