BigPanda, a Mountain View, CA-based data science platform that correlates IT data and alerts into insights for businesses, raised $16m in Series B financing.
The round was led by Battery Ventures, with participation from existing investors Sequoia Capital and Mayfield. In conjunction with the funding, Scott Tobin, general partner at Battery Ventures, will join BigPanda’s board.
Founded in 2012 and led by Assaf Resnick, CEO, BigPanda uses data science algorithms to automatically analyze all of an organization’s IT alerts, such as those related to the performance of critical software, systems and data centers, and turn them into actionable insights to allow IT and DevOps teams to detect and resolve issues faster than with traditional methods.
The solution is used by companies like Cisco, Caesars, Gap, News Corp, PayPal and Wix keep their business running smoothly.
The company also has offices in Tel Aviv.
