Plexxi, a Nashua, N.H.-based provider of networking products and solutions for agile data centers, scale-out applications and distributed cloud environments, raised $35m in venture capital funding.
The round, which has raised $83m in financing, was led by a new investor with participation from existing investors Lightspeed Venture Partners, Matrix Partners and North Bridge Venture Partners.
The company intends to use the funds for the expansion of its sales, marketing, customer support, and research and development efforts.
Led by Rich Napolitano, CEO, Plexxi provides agile datacenter solutions that aim to create an automated datacenter network for distributed applications like Big Data, clustered compute and clustered storage. Since his introduction, the company has been focused on gaining customers across three markets: agile datacenters, scale-out application infrastructure and distributed cloud co-location service providers.
