Gainsight Raises $25M in Series C Funding

Gainsight_Logo_Final-01Gainsight, a Mountain View, CA-based provider of customer success solutions, raised $25m in Series C funding.

Backers included Bessemer Venture Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners. In conjunction with the funding, Byron Deeter of BVP joined Gainsight’s board of directors while Lightspeed’s Nakul Mandan will become a board observer.

The company intends to use the funds to expand R&D efforts.

Led by Nick Mehta, CEO, Gainsight provides a SaaS-based Salesforce native customer success solution for businesses to drive revenue from sales, usage, support, survey and other sources of external customer data.

The company is also partnering with Bessemer and McKinsey & Co’s SaaSRadar on a quarterly success benchmark report for SaaS businesses called SuccessIndex. The research will correlate financial data from public and private SaaS companies (as indexed by both Bessemer and SaaSRadar) with transactional, performance, and operational data collected from participating Gainsight customers.
