Wahanda Raises $26M in Funding

Wahanda, a London, UK-based hair and beauty marketplace, raised $26m in funding.

Backers included RGIP, Fidelity Growth Partners and Lepe Partners.

The company also has acquired Berlin-based equivalent service Salonmeister for an undisclosed sum.

Founded two years ago, Salonmeister is a hair and beauty booking platform operation in Germany, Austria & Switzerland with over 1,000 spa and salon suppliers. As part of the deal, current Salonmeister CEO Louis Pfitzner will continue to run the business along with co-founders Phillipp Rechberg and Nils Griess-Nega.
The two businesses will eventually be integrated into a single global platform.

Led by Lopo Champalimaud, CEO, Wahanda allows customers to book appointments at over 6,000 spas and salons in the UK.
The company currently employs around 100 people.
