RedOwl Analytics Closes $4.6M Series A Financing

redownanalyticsRedOwl Analytics, a Baltimore, MD-based company that applies analytics to internal corporate data streams for proactive risk oversight, closed a $4.6m Series A financing.

Investors included Marc Benioff, Salesforce.com Chairman and CEO, Igor Sill of Geneva Venture Group, Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank (via Sagamore Ventures), Christian Lawless of Conversion Capital, Attractor Ventures LLC, Propel Baltimore, and TEDCO’s new Veterans’ Opportunity Fund.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate product development and expand client portfolio in the financial services, legal & investigative, and government verticals.

Founded in late 2011 and led by CEO Guy Filippelli, RedOwl provides Reveal, a cloud-based software platform that assists in investigating financial crimes, monitoring to limit risk and ensure legal and regulatory compliance, and detecting illicit behavior near real-time.
