C9 Raises $12M in Series D Funding

C9, a San Mateo, CA-based analytic application software company, raised $12m in Series D funding.

The round was led by existing investors Mayfield Fund, InterWest Partners and Leapfrog Ventures.

The company, which has now raised a total of $40m, intends to use the funds to expand its sales, marketing and engineering efforts.

Led by newly appointed CEO Michael Howard, C9 uses a cloud-based Big Data analytics platform to enable organizations to analyze and optimize revenue across marketing, sales, service and support.
It is used by LinkedIn, Yahoo!, Avaya, DocuSign, Pandora, Box, etc.
