Supercell, a Helsinki, Finland- and San Francisco, CA-based gaming company, reportedly raised $130m in funding.
The transaction valued the company at $770m, according to an article in Forbes (read here).
Backers included Index Ventures, which invested $52.5m, Institutional Venture Partners, and Atomico. The company had raised $12m in 2011 (read here) from Accel Partners, Klaas Kersting, and London Venture Partners.
Led by CEO Ilkka Paananen, Supercell is building new games for tablets and other touch devices. Titles include Clash of Clans and Hay Day.
