WEE Marketplace, a Dubai, UAE-based product delivery marketplace, raised USD10M in Equity and Debt funding.
The funding, which included equity and credit facilities, was provided by Sig Investment. It increases WEE’s valuation to USD40M.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Led by CEO Anastasia Kim, and co-founders Oleg Dashkevich and Sergey Kolikov, WEE Marketplace specialises in fast delivery services within Dubai and next-day delivery across the UAE. Their platform offers a diverse and extensive selection of goods in sectors such as cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, flowers, and food products.
Commenting on the news, Anastasia Kim said: “The investment is set to enhance WEE’s standing in the eCommerce sector within the UAE, enabling us to upgrade our logistics capabilities, expedite widespread growth, and fortify our team. Our primary focus will revolve around advancing the fashion category with innovation in the UAE service of partial purchase and fitting as well as highlighting live streamings. We will also introduce new services to the super app ecosystem.”
