Lensrxlab Secures $830K in Seed Funding

Ophthalmic Goods Manufacturing startups Bon Vivant Safety Eyewear Company, Inc. and Tioga Optical Lab QOZB, LLC, secured $830k in seed funding for the joint venture LENSRXLAB.

Founders Anthony B. Miles, US Navy Trident Nuclear Submarine Force Veteran and Dr. Chelise Firmin, Optometrist will develop two B2B Healthcare Delivery Platforms and a proprietary Advanced Lens Technology for Diabetics.

The funds will be used to go to market with their two B2B Healthcare Delivery Platforms at scale, production of inventory, hiring key staff and equity toward the build-out and automated production equipment for its 18,629-sf ground-up manufacturing facility to be built adjacent to Temple University Health Sciences Campus in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to service all 48 U.S. States–Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands and American Samoa).

Their B2B offerings include LENSRXLAB’s online Supplemental Vision Benefits Platform for Diabetics. Tailored for Hospitals and Medical Clinics, Health Insurance Companies, Corporate Employers, Military/Veteran Organizations, Diabetic Care Centers, Health Programs, and Others, LENSRXLAB offers a new approach with its comprehensive all-in-one single vision, bifocal and progressive diabetic eyewear packages, ensuring accessibility for patients, service members, veterans, beneficiaries, and employees.

One new innovation by the duo is DiaVista, a proprietary advanced lens technology powered by Nirtech® with 7 lights with UV + IR protection to be offered through both LENSRXLAB B2B platforms and globally through strategic partners.

LENSRXLAB is also planning to expand its offerings with new products, services, and programs, including The DiaVista Gift Voucher Pilot Program for Diabetic Vision Equity. This program’s annual goal, with the support of corporate sponsors and donors, is to provide fully subsidized, specialized prescription diabetic eyewear packages with its proprietary DiaVista Advanced Lens Technology to over 20,000 low-income individuals, seniors, and veterans.

Additionally, they plan to introduce an advanced Computer Lens featuring blue light blocking technology to prevent eye strain from everyday digital devices.

Furthermore, they are launching an animated cartoon series called LENS LEGENDS, weaving together elements of adventure, humor, and education to entertain audiences of all ages while addressing various social determinants of health.
