Boulder, CO-based venture capital firm Foundry Group has closed its third fund at $225m.
Foundry Venture Capital 2012, L.P. will focus on investing in seed and early-stage companies in the software and IT space that are located across North America. Led by Brad Feld, Seth Levine, Ryan McIntyre, and Jason Mendelson, the firm usually provides seed capital (as little as $250,000 – $500,000) or participates in larger Series A venture financing rounds.
Investment themes includeHuman Computer Interaction, Implicit Web, Email, Glue, and Digital Life.
Foundry Group has invested in approximately 50 companies (including Zynga) to date.
