Discovery Bay Games, a Seattle, WA-based developer of iOS-exclusive game accessories, has closed a $15m Series B funding.
The round was led by Trilogy Equity Partners and Logitech.
The company intends to use the capital to pursue its new business model of app-supported Duo(TM) accessories, which offer “digital + physical” gameplay experiences that enhance gaming on iPad®, iPhone® and iPod touch®.
Founded in 2006 and Led by Mike Sievert, CEO, and Craig Olson, CSO, Discovery Bay Games develops tablet gaming accessories and supporting apps. In addition to developing original content, the company partners with content owners to deliver enhanced tablet play experiences to consumers.
Discovery Bay Games is currently in development for its 2013 product line and plans to pursue products with existing partners such as Atari, Gameloft® and HIT Entertainment as well as evaluate new partnership opportunities and platforms.
