Precog Secured $2M in Funding

Precog, a Boulder, Colorado-based provider of infrastructure APIs for data analysis, has secured $2m in funding.

The round was led by RTP Ventures, with participation from Resonant Ventures and David G. Cohen.

The company intends to use the funding to advance its data analysis technology, launch marketing and business development programs, and accelerate customer adoption.

Officially launched in February 2012 by CEO John A. De Goes, Precog provides infrastructure APIs for data analysis to help developers incorporate intelligence and insights into their applications. The company’s technology is currently powering insights and intelligence in a growing number of third-party applications across many verticals. Precog, whose founding team consists of engineers with backgrounds in big data, analytics, langauge theory, and machine learning, is currently hiring (http://www.precog.com/jobs.html).

In conjunction with the funding, Kirill Sheynkman, Senior Managing Director of RTP Ventures, will join the company’s Board of Directors.
