Diverse Energy, a Slinfold, UK-based company that builds low-carbon power generators for “off-grid” applications for telecommunications, has received a £2m investment from Octopus Investments.
The funds will enable the company to complete the assembly plant and expand to serve its large export market.
As stated by Dr. Alastair Livesey, Diverse Energy MD, the investment will enable the company to complete the transition from development to a fully commercial manufacturing organisation.
Diverse Energy builds an emission-free, low-cost power solution for mobile phone communication towers in rural areas of developing countries.
It has developed PowerCube™, a standalone replacement for the polluting diesel generators currently used as remote power supplies for mobile phone towers where electricity is not available.
PowerCube™ incorporates the company’s patent protected technology that allows it to utilize ammonia as a fuel.
