Lootsie Raises $3.5M in Seed Funding

lootsie-logoLootsie, a Culver City, California-based loyalty and rewards platform for mobile apps, raised $3.5m in seed funding.

Backers included Tim Kendall, Head of Product Management at Pinterest and former Director of Monetization for Facebook; Michael Liou, Founding Partner, Anvil Capital; Anthony Saleh, angel investor; and Brad Schwartz, Founding Partner at SLP Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to scale the platform.

Led by Marc Mitchell, co-founder and CEO, Lootsie provides an engagement platform for brands and developers to build connections between them and their audience through loyalty and improving user engagement and retention within apps. Since launching in 2012, the company has partnered with major retailers, brands and developers including SOL REPUBLIC, Manduka, Sevenlogics and All Shook Apps.
