Talari Networks Secures $4.5M in Financing

Talari Networks, Inc., a San Jose, CA-based provider of WAN Virtualization solutions, has secured $4.5m in financing.

Backers include existing investors Menlo Ventures, Silver Creek Ventures and private investors.

The company intends to use the funding to expand sales and customer-facing functions of its solutions.

Led by CEO Emerick Woods, Talari Networks has developed Adaptive Private Networking (APN) technology for WAN Virtualization that enables network managers to use multiple WAN connections, including MPLS and any kind of Internet WAN links, to augment or replace individual private WAN connections. Talari’s newest appliance, the Mercury T510, designed for branch offices, and the latest revision of software began shipping earlier this month.

In conjunction with the funding, Mr. H. Dubose Montgomery, founder and managing director of Menlo Ventures, will join the company’s board of directors.

Talari Networks is currently hiring (http://www.talari.com/company/careers.php).
