Wellola

Wellola, a Dublin, Ireland-based digital health company, raised €2.2M in funding.

The round, which brought the total amount to €4M, was led by Elkstone with participation from Enterprise Ireland.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate market expansion across Europe, to recruit technical and operational staff across Ireland and the United Kingdomm and to further enhance its Portasana patient care and communication platform.

Founded in 2016 by Sonia Neary, and also led by Lyndsey Watson (COO), Dr Imran Khan (CSO) and Jay Ross (CTO), Wellola builds innovative patient management solutions to deliver care. It offers preventative, community-based care models, underpinned by an interoperable and digital Care Journeys Platform, Portasana®. Integrated with core NHS systems and electronic patient records, staff at a given healthcare organisation can curate an unlimited amount of evidence-based digital care pathways for their patients across all services, supporting the waiting well, reducing the need for follow-up appointments and supporting patients to self-manage care.

Major healthcare organisations including Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, the North East London Foundation Trust and Birmingham Community NHS Trust have already deployed Wellola’s Portasana® platform.
